Students were welcomed back to school in a very special way.
When Farrell Area School District students arrived for the first day of school on Monday, August 28, they were greeted in a special and meaningful way. Fathers, grandfathers, uncles, cousins, mentors, community members, and other positive male figures were invited to line the sidewalks outside of the school as students arrived. They were there to show their commitment and support and to convey the importance of education. The Million Father March is a nationwide movement founded by The Black Star Project. The Farrell Area School District was excited to bring the project's moving message here and help our students get a positive start to the school year.
