Farrell Students Win at Physics Olympics

Youngstown State University was the host school to the 2019 Physics Olympics.  The event is a gathering of local high school students in a competition designed to strengthen the mind, to demonstrate physics in applied settings, and to have fun. The Physics Olympics consist of 12 physics events. The Farrell Area School District has participated in these events for the past 25 years. This year, five Farrell Area High School students won placement in their events.

Melvin Hobson and Jourdan Townsend - 1st Place in Fermi Questions
Nyesha Johnson - 2nd Place in Physics Hang-Ups 
Cameron Zimmerman - 3rd Place in Physics Phloater
