The Farrell Area School District Board of Directors has a vacancy due to the resignation of one of the members, effective February 11, 2019. Interested residents of the City of Farrell or the Borough of Wheatland, who are qualified electors of the School District, may apply for the Board Director position in writing no later than 4:00 PM on Thursday, February 28, 2019. Interested candidates should address their application to Linda Howard, School Board Secretary, 1600 Roemer Boulevard, Farrell, PA 16121. Consistent with Act 9 of 1996, interviews, discussions and deliberations will be conducted at the monthly work session/public meeting on Monday, March 4, 2019 beginning at 6:00 PM in the School Board Meeting Room, and a vote will be taken on that date by the remaining members of the Board pursuant to 24 P.S. 3-315 of the PA School Code of 1949, as amended; as well as any other business deemed necessary.
