Dual Enrollment and what it offers our students

Dual Enrollment, also known as college within high school, is a program designed to prepare students for college after thier high school graduation. Dual Enrollment at Farrell High School is through Butler Community College. Our students can earn college credits by taking college courses right on the FASD campus. Courses are typically 3 credits and consist of 36 credit hours.

In order to qualify for Dual Enrollment, students must be either a junior or senior and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Classes are typically Tuesday and Thursday morning from 6:50am - 7:50am. The program is very rigorous and consists of many assignments in addition to a midterm and a final exam. Students are permitted to miss up to 3 hours before their grade is effected. Many of our students maintain perfect attendance during each semester.
